What makes people tick and what gets in the way of achieving the outcomes we want is what I’m most curious about.

I'm particularly interested in what sits beneath the surface: what's really going on, what isn't being said, the assumptions and patterns shaping how we see things, and what might become possible if we look at things differently.

​

That curiosity has shaped more than 20 years working with people, teams and organisations as a coach, supervisor, facilitator and organisation development practitioner. My own practice was forged in a university environment, where I developed a very practical understanding of people, leadership, change and the realities of working in complex organisations.

 

I like work with depth to it. Helping someone better understand themselves or their situation, unpick a thorny problem, make sense of complexity or realise potential that hasn't quite come through yet. And I like making that insight useful – turning what we discover into something that actually makes a difference.

 

I don't believe there is one right way to lead, work or live, and I'm a little wary of received wisdom and neat answers. I'd rather help people see more clearly, understand the choices available to them and discover their own way through.

 

I'm practical and grounded, but also creative. I enjoy making connections, exploring different perspectives and turning ideas and possibilities into something real. And although I take the work seriously, I don't think we always need to take ourselves too seriously. Warmth, humour, curiosity and compassion are all important parts of how I work.

Ultimately, I want my work to matter – to involve real connection, help people see or do something differently and leave something better than I found it.
