"Whatever we think about we bring about." Although cynical at first when reading Rhonda Byrne's The Secret about the law of attraction, there's much common sense and wisdom to be gained from studying those pages.
What was shared about the power and practise of gratitude offers significant food for thought.
One of Rhonda's contributors explained how every morning they don't get out of bed until they've felt the feeling of gratitude for the brand new day and everything they are grateful for in their life.
But it doesn't stop there. As they get out of bed, when one foot touches the ground they say “thank” and then the other “you”! With each step they take, to the bathroom, then kitchen, they say "thank you". As a result, they are starting their day having said thank you hundreds of times!
The Secret claims it is impossible to bring more into your life if you are feeling ungrateful about what you have. Why? Because the thoughts and feelings you emit as you feel ungrateful are all negative emotions.
When you give thanks as though you have already received what you want, you are emitting a powerful signal to the universe.
So be grateful for what you have now. Make it a habit to feel the feelings of gratitude in advance for the great day ahead, as if it is done.
And as you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you’ll be amazed at the never-ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for.
